As Chief Executive Officer of Red Bull, NA, Dan Ginsberg led what some have expressed to be the seminal fast-moving consumer product brand of the 21st century. Surely there are few products that have matched or exceeded the success of Red Bull in its category, or any other, in terms of sales growth and brand recognition. After providing strategic leadership in all aspects of the brand, Dan decided to move on and accept new challenges. He now does strategic consulting for a variety of companies in the food and beverage industry, offering branding support for an array of consumer products.

Previously, Dan was an advertising and marketing executive at NW Ayer and Cunningham & Walsh. At both agencies, he was President of their Western Regions where he led teams in strategic marketing for clients such as Toshiba, Yamaha, Continental Airlines, the Australian Tourist Commission, Mitsubishi Motors, Burger King and others. He was also co-founder and managing partner of the highly awarded creative advertising agency, DGWB, and was President of Reiser Williams deYong. Dan sold his ad shop in order to accept the opportunity to go to North Carolina to be part of a specially formed team to save the venerable, but sinking, QSR brand Hardee’s. As CMO of Hardee’s, Dan, along with his partners and new team, brought respectability back to Hardee’s and increased the brand’s performance at all levels. As a result of the brand’s stabilization, it was sold to the parent of Carl’s Jr.

Dan lives in Santa Monica with his wife and their two children, where he’s involved with his kids’ music and athletic activities. A self-described “weekend warrior,” Dan enjoys skiing, golf and tennis.

According to Dan, the key to an entrepreneur’s success lies in leadership skills, a talented team and incisive strategic planning.
