If a pet that is covered with Trupanion medical insurance becomes sick or injured, Trupanion will pay up to $20,000 for diagnostic tests, surgeries and medication recommended by the veterinarian. The company has been operating in Canada since 2002, making insurance available through its Territory Partners, who establish direct relationships with veterinarians.
