Pete McCormick joined Maveron in early 2000 as Administrative Partner, bringing almost 20 years of experience helping companies solve their most challenging problems and managing professional service organizations. McCormick manages Maveron’s administration, including all limited partner matters, assists with the evaluation and structuring of portfolio investments, supports portfolio planning and exits, and coordinates firm strategic planning. Prior to Maveron, McCormick was a partner and a member of the managing board of directors of the Seattle law firm, Graham & Dunn. During his 19-year legal career, McCormick helped a wide variety of businesses resolve disputes in the areas of contracts, acquisitions, securities, intellectual property, licensing, trade secret, and employment matters. McCormick is past President of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Western Washington Chapter. In 1998, he received the Professionalism award from the Washington State Bar Association, Young Lawyers' Division. McCormick is a graduate of the University of Washington from which he received a BA in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, and a law degree with honors.
