Tailored to the lives of adult consumers, Capella is a pioneer in online education—a rigorous yet intimate learning community that overcomes barriers of time and place. It’s an accredited university that offers programs—from bachelor to doctorate—in business, technology, education, health care, public safety, and human services. We invested in Capella in 2003 and exited when it went public in 2006. But more than that financial success, our stake marked the establishment of our investing in disruptive, first-rate, consuming-facing education businesses.
