Growing up, Angelina always took her History classes seriously, but also felt impatient to get to Math and Science. She felt most energized by looking forward vs back.

Angelina has a long-standing passion for Consumer Tech, and today, Consumer AI, because of its propensity to fundamentally question the way things are, and progressively enhance the way that we as humans live - for days, to decades, to generations. She is perpetually inspired by consumer founders who love the pursuit, and are grounded but also self-motivated with grand, visionary, unbounded thinking.

Angelina went on to study Engineering at Dartmouth with a focus on designing & building human-centered digital and physical products. This included a battery-operated spray bottle to address Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which she discovered was experienced by ~40% of Dartmouth custodians —a significant yet unspoken problem, the unlikely culprit of which was the everyday use of a standard, mechanical spray bottle. She continued her interest in Consumer Tech after college by narrowing her focus to digital consumer businesses, where she covered Consumer Internet Investment Banking at Citigroup.

Prior to Maveron, Angelina was at Premji Invest in Menlo Park, California. There, she built and led the Consumer AI & Consumer Tech practice, where investments included companies like Runway, Canva, Essor(Heyday), and Robinhood. Angelina is extremely excited to continue backing the Consumer AI mavericks rethinking the way the internet is structured across every category looking forward.

After investing in Heyday, Angelina joined the Growth Team at the company full-time, building the foundation to their AI-driven merchandising program. There, she dove more deeply into building on top of the first iterations of diffusion models by building their data-driven workflow behind optimizing consumer product listing imagery.

Angelina grew up on the East Coast with two sisters and an Ophthalmologist and OBGYN as parents - needless to say her focus on human-focused specialties started here. She moved to San Francisco for a number of years, which became a part of her. She currently splits her time between SF & NYC. Angelina is a lifelong tennis player, and loves hiking, cycling, downhill skiing, running, cooking with produce from local farmers’ markets, and all things Italy.
